With the year 2015 sliding into 2016, we turn off the lights on one more year. This year will end the same way as the other 53 I have lived through - celebrations of all kinds, some men dressed as much older men with a sash across their chest, identifying them father time; and others dressed as babies, representing the new year; both so drunk they will not remember tomorrow what they did tonight.
This year however, will end just a little different for me. You see, I am very concerned about what the new year will bring. It's not that I am psychic or super intelligent - well, not psychic anyway, but my gut is very reliable and my gut is worried, making the rest of me worry. Anyone who questions the insight of my gut merely need go back to my earliest blogs when Obama first overthrew our nation. I hope my gut is wrong this time, but if not, we are in big trouble!
The new year will bring a highly anticipated election - maybe. Let me explain...Anyone who knows me, knows that I have supported Ted Cruz for President before Ted Cruz probably knew he would run. It was his filibuster during the Obamacare vote that I decided Ted Cruz is the best thing for our nation. Since then, my support has only strengthened. I said several times and still believe that Ted Cruz is to the United States today, what Ronald Reagan was in 1980. This election year, our nation will not survive without Ted Cruz, and ONLY Ted Cruz, leading this nation. Even still, I am not sure Ted Cruz can fix it, but he is our only hope!
There are a few problems of tremendous concern to me, that may steer this election and this nation into total collapse. I believe what I am about to say to be true and unavoidable. I hope I am completely wrong, but if I am even a little accurate, it is frightening.
As I already said, our only hope for survival as the United States of America is to elect Ted Cruz and to bring the nation back on track, following and enforcing the Constitution, as designed by our forefathers. This is the ONLY hope we have! There are three other probable election outcomes, none of which offers any hope.
1. I have maintained from the start - Donald Trump is a shill for Hillary! Donald Trump is not a conservative and the support he receives from some very intelligent conservatives,
including my brothers, some friends and even Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter - has me
stunned. Here is my logic - Donald Trump is a known and admitted friend and supporter of the Clintons. He said he supported them for political reasons - don't believe it. Next, during the first debate, Donald Trump said he became a Republican months ago after realizing the democrats were wrong. Essentially, Trump claimed he made a 180 degree shift in his political ideology over a matter of weeks, citing Ronald Reagan as a precedent. In fact, Reagan did not make much of a shift - he was a conservative democrat, turned moderate Republican. His metamorphosis took place over decades, not weeks. Furthermore, a conservative in the 1980's had a political ideology similar to a 1960's democrat, so it was more a change in party ideology than a change in Ronald Reagan, himself. As an example, remember Kennedy's speech - "Ask not what your country can do for you..." Imagine these words being uttered by a democrat today. I maintain, Trump is not conservative!
So, what is the plan, you ask? It is established already that Hillary will be the democratic nominee. It is also safe to assume that in a debate, Ted Cruz would wipe the streets with Hillary. So a strong candidate such as Cruz, must be neutralized - and here is how this will be done.
Initially, the plan is for Trump to be the Republican nominee. As the nominee, Trump will not receive women or Hispanic votes, both of which are needed for a Republican to win the election - in other words, Trump is not electable. For the conservative Trump supporters who will say things like, "Every woman or Hispanic person I know, is planning to vote for Trump"; you are either lying, ignorant or you know the only women and Hispanic people who will vote for Trump! The VAST MAJORITY from these two groups will NOT vote for Trump - and he and Hillary know it. It is part of their plan! The result? Hillary is elected.
2. Now, let's suppose plan A fails and someone else wins the nomination for the Republicans - let's assume it is Ted Cruz. In this example, Trump will launch an independent candidacy, splitting the conservative vote and again, giving the White House to Hillary. This is their Plan B. Ho ho, you say, what's this - but Trump vowed not to run as an independent, remember? Yeah, you missed the part throughout this blog where Trump has been discredited and shown to lack any integrity at all. In other words, he lied.
3. Not one to fail, Trump has a Plan C. What if the American people suddenly recover consciousness and realize the piece of garbage who is Hillary, forcing her to end her campaign in disgrace? While this is not likely, rest assured, Michelle Obama is waiting in the wings. In fact, I have said since long before Hillary became a candidate that Michelle planned to run - the fact that most of the dirt on Hillary has been leaked by the Obama administration, only strengthens my case - and I am not willing to concede this is not still part of Barry's and Michelle's plan. We'll see at convention time - if we make it.
I believe I have established that only by a miracle will Ted Cruz become our next President. Since I believe in miracles, I am confident we still have a chance. I am not confident however that Ted Cruz will ever take his seat in the Oval Office. This leads me to the second major concern of 2016...
Our nation is more divided that at anytime in modern history - possibly going back to the civil war. The fault of this division rests on Obama! He has consistently fueled racist tensions, anti-police, military and anti-Christian ideals in this nation. He has acted illegally by circumventing the Constitution to enact many restrictions on the good people in our nation, while turning bad people into martyrs and heroes. He has released known terrorists to fight against our troops and called a soldier who abandoned his unit, a hero. He, with Hillary, had looked on while our ambassador and marines were murdered and eviscerated in Benghazi. In short, he has pushed the American people to the brink of revolt - and he is saving the best for last. Among his next tricks, he will take illegal actions to take away our 2nd amendment right to own firearms. While I am not sure how the American people will react, Obama is certain this act will be the final straw, bringing the people to the streets in revolt. This will give Obama the "perceived" justification he will need to enact Marshall Law. Through Marshall Law, the good Americans will be called criminals - imprisoned or killed...and the 2016 election will be cancelled, beginning the new era of the Obama dictatorship or as he calls it, "fundamental change" - consider this, Rahm Emanuel did not go to Cuba over Christmas because the store sales are better.
Obama has shown love and loyalty to radical Islam and they will reward him for his loyalty. This leads me to my next huge concern. Even as the Soviet Union (yep, I said it) continues to move across Europe and the middle east, Obama appears oblivious. In reality, Obama only looks stupid. He knows exactly what he is doing. With the introduction of tens of thousands of Muslim refugees from Syria, most of whom are fighting aged men, Isis will launch major attacks in the U.S., aimed to create chaos, kill Americans and distract us from Obama's final blow to the Constitution - the suspension and burning of the foundation of our system. Isis has been imported without anyone knowing and despite objections from Congress. As Obama strips our guns and creates revolution in our streets, Isis will work on behalf of Obama, to kill millions of Americans in the streets. Since I will defend my nation and my Constitution to my death, I know where I will go, but I will take as many as I can with me.
With the United States dissolved and fallen into death and destruction, the Soviet Union will move through Europe, like a hot knife through butter.
It is a very negative picture I am painting, to be sure. I want it to be completely untrue - Ted Cruz takes over the White House in January 2017 and our recovery begins. Unfortunately, I fear the year will move in the frightening direction as described above. The actual events may fall somewhere in the middle, but even this would be tragic for the greatest nation on God's earth.
I would like to say Happy New Year, but instead I will say I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and party like mad over the next few days because one year from now, things will be much different. For those who said it would never happen, it is happening as we speak, faster than imagined. Be ready for your salvation by giving your soul to Jesus and may God save us all.

Gay Marriage from the Perspective of a Gay Conservative
The Supreme Court handed down a decision this past week on
gay marriage. The court decided
that the +/- 1500 year tradition of marriage, widely believed by Christians to
be a religious institution and sacrament, joining one man and one woman, is not
legal. In this single decision, a group of
5 people set the stage which will ultimately change the legal validity of one
of the most fundamental beliefs of the Christian (and any other) faith.
According to Justice Kennedy, the 14th
amendment gives everyone the right to marry – stretching the intentions of one
simple paragraph within the amendment:
“No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge
the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State
deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;
nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the
laws.”
The court also commented that religious freedom would have
protection under this ruling, adding that businesses or organizations
(Churches) could not be forced to act against their beliefs under this
ruling. Justice Scalia however
disagrees, saying he expects additional challenges to come from this
ruling. I agree with Justice Scalia. After all, if it is legal for same gender
couples to marry, couldn’t it be argued that this law applies everywhere? I expect it will be argued, placing religious
freedom in jeopardy.
As a conservative, this decision was nothing more than a
panel of 5, not interpreting, but creating a law which will negatively impact
the religious freedom of Christians, Jews, Muslims and all other people of
faith. This ruling was nothing short of
the judicial branch of our government acting illegally, in sync with an
executive branch, run a muck.
As a Christian, I feel that nobody should discriminate
against another person because of their skin color, their national origin or
their “gender attraction”. Contrary to
the opinion of Justice Thomas, this ruling however, is not about any of those
things. If we were arguing the right for
a gay person to patronize a business or attend religious services, I would feel
much different. In this case however, we
are arguing the rights of a group of activists, 5 judges and a rogue President
to force a religious group, Christians for purposes of this post, to change their
fundamental beliefs.
Why do I call them activists? A person fighting for the right to the same
benefits provided to married couples – the right to visit their partner in a
hospital or a right to “next of kin” status, and so forth, can be granted
through a civil union law. Most Christians
believe a civil union is similar to marriage, without the religious endorsement
– a point of contention by many opponents.
From a religious standpoint, any union outside of a religious
institution is a civil union. For any group
to seek a legal decision which will force a religion to change or violate it’s fundamental
beliefs, is nothing more than activism…and it is wrong!
As a Christian, I have been taught that marriage is the
joining of a man and woman for purposes of advancing the human race through
procreation. My faith has taught me some
basic rules – sex outside of marriage is a sin and sex for any reason other
than procreation is a sin. Since my
faith does not allow for same gender marriage and sex among two people of the
same gender can never result in the creation a child, sex between two people of
the same gender is therefore, always a sin.
With this said, the Bible does not differ on the
severity of the types of sexual sin, i.e., it is equally sinful for a man and woman
to engage in sex before marriage; sex while married for any reason other than
procreation; and masturbatory sex. As a
Christian, I know I am a sinner as we all are, so I do not condemn myself, or judge
anyone for committing these sins – but I accept that they are sins for which I
am expected to seek forgiveness.
As a Christian, American who is also gay, I feel I am amply
qualified to speak for myself on this subject. Many
people do not know that I am gay. At 52,
single and still pretty darn good looking, I am sure that many suspect or assume that I am
gay, but because I have never defined myself as gay, it has never been relevant,
until now – “not that there is anything wrong with it”.
For those who may wonder
why I never told them I am gay, it is because you never asked. As a gay man though, I am bothered by people,
gay and straight, who presume to think for me.
Unlike others, I do not define myself by my gender attraction [I
do not use sexual preference because it is not a preference, it is an
attraction. I am attracted to some people of the same gender, but no
one of the opposite gender. Chocolate over vanilla ice cream is a
preference because I can have either but choose one over the other.]
I define myself first, as a Christian, next
as an American, then as a man,,,and somewhere down the line, as a gay man. Just as I do not expect a straight person to
come to me and tell me they are straight, I do not feel the need to tell you I
am not, unless I will be in a situation where this information may be relevant –
a camping trip, for example. I don’t
care who you are attracted to, unless it is me; and you should not care who I
am attracted to, unless it is you.
Gay groups feel that gay people are deserving of special
treatment. Gay groups have tried to
place the gay community at the same level as blacks, women or the blind; or any other
minority group. Gay groups are the only minority
group that feels they deserve special treatment solely on the basis of their gender
attraction. As for me, I am special
because I am one of God’s children, but I am not special because I am gay. When you look at me, you will first see me as
short, bald and overweight (but still good looking). You will judge me based on these features
before you ever, if ever, consider whether I am gay or straight. While I have not always been bald and
overweight, I have always been gay (and good looking) and have always believed as
I believe today.
I also do not consider being gay as a handicap entitling me to
special rights or privileges. I believe
that God created me as I am for a reason.
It was not a punishment or a practical joke, but part of his greater
plan. When I was younger it was
difficult to understand why I was different, and I prayed to be changed. As a
child, then later as a young teen, though I knew I was different, even as I constantly
asked God to make me “normal”, I never questioned my faith. For any gay person reading this, you can
certainly relate like no straight person can.
As I aged, I realized that it was not about me, but what God
chose for me. I believe that married
couples fulfill his plan through their dedication and hard work to create and raise
a family of faithful servants of God. While
married couples are expected by God to honor each other, I believe God desired
for single people to be dedicated only to his great name. This would certainly explain my
unconditional, unwavering and lifelong faith.
As a Christian, conservative, gay man, I am in an exclusive
group. But within my group are people
who believe that we must fight to save our faith and our nation from those who seek
to destroy it. We do not judge people
based on race, national origin, gender attraction or religion. To do so would
not be consistent with our Christian faith.
As a supporter of Ted Cruz, a proud and vocal Christian who also opposes
the action of the Supreme Court, I don’t know if he would welcome me as a supporter
but suspect that he would. Unlike many
Christians, I believe Ted Cruz is a true Christian who follows his faith and avoids judging others.
Unlike
many activist gay men and women, I am
a man who cares about my country and will not vote on a single issue. I
am an American who honors the flag of red,
white and blue, not a flag of divisive rainbow colors.
It would be great to have my chosen candidate agree with everything I
believe,
but I will support the person who is best for our nation. Today, the
nation needs someone who will fight to save our system of government,
our Constitution - This is Ted Cruz!
The activists and left wing progressives have claimed to be
the party of the under-privileged, yet they seek to take away the very freedoms
which allow all people to live together despite their differences, religious
freedom in this case. As they see it,
everyone should have equal rights as long as they are biased toward, or in full
agreement with their thinking. Most conservatives
in my circles believe everyone should have the rights granted us by the Constitution,
with their differences tolerated, even if they are not supported; but not to
the extent that one group should lose their rights in order to extend special privileges
to another group. The only exception
being made for those who are unable to take care of themselves.
Again, in the Christian faith, marriage is a sacramental union between a man and a woman. A religious union is also afforded protections under civil law. In a civil union,
a couple – man and woman, woman and woman or man and man; gay or straight; can,
should and in many states, does have a right to be joined, giving the couples
the same legal rights as they would enjoy in a marriage, without the religious
endorsement. Potentially under a civil
union, as friends age and spouses die, two life-long friends would be able to create
a legal, non-sexual, union for purposes of having someone to make important decisions
on the other person’s behalf - someone to be an end of life companion. After all, for most of us, sex will not be as
important at 80 as it was at 20.
There has been and will continue to be much discussion on
this ruling. People who think as I think
will be called “haters” and "homophobes", which is why I feel it is important that I speak from
my perspective as a Christian, American man who happens to be gay. I have gay friends and have been in
relationships, albeit by choice, not for the past several years. I support all of my gay friends in their relationships. Most people who know me, whether they are gay
or straight, also know my feelings about gay marriage. In every aspect of their life, I believe a
gay couple has a right to live as they choose, but when it threatens my
religion or tries to pit me against my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; this is
where I draw my line. My gay brothers
and sisters, how can we ask to be allowed to live in peace, if we are not
willing to let others do the same?
Finally, the opposition says they are not trying to take away our religious freedom. The opposition either does not believe in God or believes that "God hates gays". If this is true, why would you want to be married in a church?
If, on the other hand, you are Christian and gay, you know that even though Jesus loves you, gay sexual activity is a sin so gay marriage would also be disallowed. My questions here are, what do you expect to gain from the Supreme Court decision? Do you think the Supreme Court has the ability to over-rule Jesus?

Sunshine, Butterflies, Rainbows & Lollipops...
Okay, I admit it - I've become a "tinfoil hat, the sky is falling, conspiracy theory, conservative hack". I stick to my God, my gun and my principles. The question however, is why am I like this, but why haven't you become more like me. You see, I am not a politician, so I do not say anything to win a vote and I do not see little green or gray men. When I make a statement, it is based on research and history. So, you wonder, why am I warning of the coming doom?
In January of this year, the President spoke to us about a booming economy. He said that while we had a way to go, we were in a period of solid recovery because of what he has done. Fortunately, he had statistics to back him up - retail sales had shot up by the highest percentage in several years. Some might say this increase was "puffed" for the benefit of the President's State of the Union Address.
Many people, some famous and some not so famous like myself, looked at these numbers and previous period numbers with a healthy level of scrutiny. Sure, spending is up and that is a good thing, but employment numbers remain seriously depressed, fuel prices are starting to inch up, tensions in the middle east are on the rise, beef and pork prices are escalating at a near alarming rate, health care services and coverage are soaring. Unfortunately, if you get your news from ABC, CBS, NBC or MSNBC; or CNN, you do not hear much about this - details are non-existent. These are statistics you must learn by doing research, by observing and by living.
How many people, for example, know that bird flu is killing millions of chickens and turkeys in the US? How many people know that turkey may be in very short supply and very expensive by Thanksgiving? How many people know that if you like chicken, you may want to consider stocking up?
We've heard the administration boast about how unemployment has fallen to a remarkable 5.4% in April, but...
How many people know that 190,00 off the 200,000 jobs created in April were part-time, no benefit positions?
How many people know that this is not news, but has been the trend throughout Obama's administration?
How many people know that as of today, over 93 million Americans are no longer in the workforce.
How many people know that 93 million eligible, but non-working, people represents over 30% of the eligible worker population in the US?
How many people have by now, calculated that, part-time and under-employed not withstanding, these figures result in an unemployment rate well above 30%?
How many people know that Obamacare, which has resulted in skyrocketing premiums for employer provided health insurance, will increase even more after employer mandates kick in?
How many people know that Obamacare has already resulted in costs far greater than we were told, big surprise, by our President?
How many people know that these incredibly high healthcare costs cannot be paid for by the unemployed?
How many people know that the healthcare costs of over 93 million people no longer in the workforce, will have to be covered by those who are in the workforce?
How many people know that the healthcare of the illegal immigrants, let in by Obama in an attempt to gain favor with the Hispanic community, will be covered by the American taxpayer, including those who immigrated legally?
How many people have calculated by now, that the number of people no longer in the workforce, 93 million, will grow at a rapidly increasing rate as employers are driven out of business by these skyrocketing healthcare rates?
Now, specific to the economy...
We've saw a jump in retail spending in the last few months of 2014 and in January of 2015, which Obama used to brag about his achievements in the State of the Union, but...
How many people know that retail spending usually increases during this time of year because of, I don't know...HOLIDAY spending???
The retail numbers however, dropped off in February, quite significantly, year over year. The administration told us it was because of cold weather and snow in the northeast. Apparently, if the people in the northeast cannot shop, neither can the people in our other 45 states...
How many people know that while the weather was harsh in the New England states for a two month period, it usually is cold and snowy in New England in the winter? Can you say "Nor-easter"?
How many people know that it was very snowy and bitterly cold from November 2014 through March 2015 in the Midwestern states and the northeast, yet retail sales for that period were not negatively affected to the level they were affected for a two month blast in a much smaller area this year?
How many people know that retail sales increase each year between February and May - because of income tax refunds.
How many people know that retail sales did not increase, but were anemic or dropped during the same period this year? Unless there is a huge bump in May sales, to be released around June 13, be afraid...
How many people know that industrial output has fallen for the past 5 months?
How many people know that this is a sign of the coming of a poor economy?
How many people know that manufacturing in the US took a hit in April after stalling in March?
How many people know that this is another sign of a doomed economy?
How many people will blame all of this on the Republican congress. Trust me, we are already hearing whispers of this from the left.
Earlier this week, the news reported that consumer confidence is up 111% since 2000. What this newscast did not tell me is that consumer confidence is down in May, by the greatest amount in 2 years - about 10%.
I have always said that a biased report can shape our economy. If enough people are told enough times that the economy is dead, they will start to believe it and will stop spending. When spending stops, the economy fails. This is what I believe happened to George H.W. Bush in 1990. If the media presents the information without bias, the market will drive the appropriate results.
Today, we have seen the opposite - the mainstream media telling us over and over, how well the economy has recovered. We hear the President telling us how we are practically re-living the great times of the 80's and 90's. All of this upbeat hype has helped to buoy the economy, but lies can only cover so much. You can tell people they have money and they can believe you, but eventually when they reach in their pocket, they will find only lint...and lint has no value.
People are starting to find lint. People are starting to realize that maybe the economy is not booming. Maybe it is not all Sunshine, butterflies, rainbows and lollipops. Maybe, just maybe, the reason we are hearing one thing, but seeing something completely different is because we are being lied to. Or maybe the days to come will be so bad that we will look back on today as the days of Sunshine, butterflies, rainbows and lollipops. As for me, I am trading in my tinfoil hat for a hard hat because it is going to be a bumpy ride.

I have always said that a biased report can shape our economy. If enough people are told enough times that the economy is dead, they will start to believe it and will stop spending. When spending stops, the economy fails. This is what I believe happened to George H.W. Bush in 1990. If the media presents the information without bias, the market will drive the appropriate results.
Today, we have seen the opposite - the mainstream media telling us over and over, how well the economy has recovered. We hear the President telling us how we are practically re-living the great times of the 80's and 90's. All of this upbeat hype has helped to buoy the economy, but lies can only cover so much. You can tell people they have money and they can believe you, but eventually when they reach in their pocket, they will find only lint...and lint has no value.
People are starting to find lint. People are starting to realize that maybe the economy is not booming. Maybe it is not all Sunshine, butterflies, rainbows and lollipops. Maybe, just maybe, the reason we are hearing one thing, but seeing something completely different is because we are being lied to. Or maybe the days to come will be so bad that we will look back on today as the days of Sunshine, butterflies, rainbows and lollipops. As for me, I am trading in my tinfoil hat for a hard hat because it is going to be a bumpy ride.

Heroes and Thugs!
It is all confusing. This week we learned that thugs are heroes, cops are thugs and racists call people thugs. What does all this mean?
Well, it started when a career criminal, Freddy Gray, died while in custody. Freddy, it appears, has a robust criminal record. Because Freddy died while in police custody, he somehow became an American hero - to some. It turns out that the investigation into Freddy's death shows that 6 police officers may have had something to do with Freddy's death, though it has yet to be proven in court.Amid all of this craziness, we have learned that using the word "thug" to describe the thugs burning down Baltimore is now racist.
Let's do some analysis...
First, Freddy Gray is a thug. He has a long criminal background culminating with his arrest which led to his death. Freddy Gray is not a hero, never was and never will be. He is a criminal who faced an unreasonable punishment for his crime, but he is not a hero.
Next, the six police officers who have been charged with Freddy's death have not been tried or found guilty. Until they are found guilty by a jury of their peers, they are considered innocent. If they are found guilty, these officers are actually bigger thugs than Freddy Gray or the thugs who burned down Baltimore. They are worse because they are entrusted with enforcing the law and expected to follow the law. If we cannot trust the police, where does that leave us?
A developing story related to the charges filed against the police, is that black leaders in Baltimore are supporting the three black police officers, saying that they were not involved in Freddy Gray's death. The assumption here is that while all 6 officers were present, only the white officers committed the crime. In other words, because it would look bad to show that black cops can be bad, the community leaders are making excuses for them so the white cops can shoulder the blame.
Now about the term "thug". This term has been used to describe bad people for decades. It is a term which describes criminals. It does not single out black people or Asian people or Hispanic people or white people, but bad people! For a black leader to call anyone using this term, is arguably racist himself. The leader said that the term, "thug" is the equivalent of the the "n" word. It would appear that he believes all black people are thugs, or criminals, or have criminal leanings. It's true the term thug does define black criminals, but it also defines Asian, Hispanic, white or any other criminals.
Finally, it's too bad that we have reached a point when we find it acceptable to burn down cities, kill innocent people and take away their livelihood, in the name of social justice. The cops, if guilty of murder, are thugs. The people who burned down Baltimore and injured innocent people and cops, are thugs. The mayor of Baltimore, who set aside an area for those who want to destroy property, is a thug. None of these people are heroes, none of the behaviors of these people is acceptable.
We have changed our culture to the point that we have become tolerant of intolerant behavior. We have reached a point where irrational actions have become rational. We have turned criminals into heroes and heroes into criminals. We have fallen so far in our nation that we can no longer recognize morality when we see it... and wonder if or when we may see it again.

YOU STINK!
I have dreaded this day for my 52 years. I have hoped it would never happen to me. I was terrified of becoming that person. Despite my efforts, it has apparently happened to me...I am old. I am now the person saying and thinking things like, "back in my day" or, "when I was young", or "I don't understand young people today". I have to maintain however, that as bad as my generation was in the eyes of old people back the, we were still soooo much better than the young people of today. For me, this painful metamorphosis started sometime in the 1990's.
In the 1990's, Don Johnson introduced us to the day old beard look. It was cool to walk around unshaven - or at least that was the message. In reality, the beard was styled, trimmed and clean. It was all about the look. Next came the messy hair look. With this, you washed your hair and used a styling gel to get the unkempt look. The hair was clean, but was styled to look dirty. Next, sometime in the early 2000's, torn jeans and distressed clothes were all the rage. Again, the clothes were usually clean, just made to look old and dirty by the textile manufacturers.
Now comes the 2010's and what was designed to look old, is old. What was designed to look dirty is dirty and what was designed to look unkempt, is unkempt. This decade brought about the age of dirty and disgusting. Sorry, but count me out!
Today, people are still wearing beards, but unlike before, it is now cool to wear them long and unstyled - the more ratty, the better. Dirty looking hair? I wish. Now, the cool thing is to keep your hair dirty, but not just the hair, now people are keeping hair, clothes, and bodies dirty. I have actually read articles talking about people who never shower or bathe. The articles feature people who justify this disgusting mindset as being natural and healthy. Here's the thing, a pig slops itself in mud to cool and clean themselves. A dog licks it's own private parts because the dog intends to clean itself. In other words, animals make an effort to clean themselves, but there are people today who do not - there are people today who are lower than dogs or pigs. This is disgusting! As an aside, if any of my friends, Facebook or otherwise, fall into this category, please unfriend me because I would be afraid of catching something from you, even over the computer.
Back 10 or so years ago, Levi's sold ripped jeans and as crazy as I thought it was, people bought them. Today, some people just don't wash their clothes. They just toss them on the floor until the next day, week or month. Levi's does not have to put holes in the jeans any more because the tiny, and not so tiny, critters living in these clothes are eating holes in the jeans. Of course, these critters can feel confident living in these clothes (and the owner's junk) because the critters know that neither the jeans, nor the owners junk, will ever see water or soap. Yeah, disgusting.
If this is not insane enough, I am hearing about employers, bowing to pressure from some employees, creating no cologne or perfume policies. There are organized groups with a stated goal to outlaw colognes in public places, calling the scent a health hazard. Really? It's okay for me to smell your crotch fungus but Aqua Di Gio aggravates your allergies? Here's a suggestion - get over it!
Yeah, I am getting old. I admit it. Unlike generations before mine though, I am proud to be old in this case. At least I am clean and I smell good. I attract bees with my cologne, but it is better than attracting flies. The bees fly away when they realize that I am not a flower, but the flies are laying eggs in your arm pits.
If you are one of these people, here are some hard truths -
Truth number 1, If you don't bathe or shower, you are not stylish or fashion conscious, you are lazy. Calling you a pig, would only be an insult to the pig.
Truth number 2, If you don't clean your clothes, you are not stylish or fashion conscious, you are disgusting.
Truth number 3, You stink! If the maggots in your arm pit hair don't make the point, the dogs running away from you should.
Truth number 4, Though you stink, some people may be ashamed to tell you, not me though. I will tell you without hesitation. Look for the clues - if the person next to you has watering eyes, is holding his nose or gagging, you stink!
Truth number 5, insulting your peers who are clean does not make you smell any better. It only makes you an a**hole who stinks.

Economic Doom?
We are being told by our president, his cabinet and his supporters, that the economy is the best since the founding of our nation. From their rhetoric, you'd think every American has $100 bills falling out of their pockets. I am amazed how many people believe this BS since the writing is on the wall. I will not rehash data from pasts posts about unemployment, taxes and so on. It is all there if you would like to read it. Let's just look at the simple, third grade data in the news most recently.
I just read today that factory orders were down in January for the 2nd consecutive month - somewhat understandable since factory production is usually reduced around the holidays, but earlier this week, I heard that February retail spending was also down for the fourth consecutive month. This is a little more interesting for a couple reasons. First, we heard over and over about how year over year retail revenues were up over the Christmas holiday. This news was used by the president in speech after speech. Chances are, if you ask the average person on the street, he/she will tell you that holiday sales were up and that the economy is back, baby. The other thing to consider is how each year between February and May or June, the economy spikes as people receive and spend their tax refund money, but so far this year, we are not seeing the spike. It could be that everyone is using their refund money to pay down debt or adding it to their savings...yeah right.
What is more likely is that refunds are down, first because people that did not have health insurance may have had their refund confiscated by the fed, under the guise of a "fine". Now, tax refunds, combined with lower gas prices should produce some great economic numbers, and again, the president would have you believe the streets are paved with gold. Of course he believes this because he spends your money as if they were.
So where is all this money going? Well, while gas prices are down, they are starting to creep back up. We are also seeing food prices and health insurance premiums climbing like a rocket. Now, you ask, why are we not being told this by the president or the media. Of course our president will not admit that his namesake healthcare program is sucking our wallets dry but there is more to this than the president's image, because no matter what we think, he will always believe he is smarter than all of us and knows what is best. The reason we are not hearing the details is because we are going to have his hands in our pockets again. Our president (and congress) see an opportunity to raise taxes - at least fuel and income tax, but there may be more. If everyone believes the economy is great, they will never deny a tax increase.
Are people this stupid? YES!!! Some people really are this stupid. These people do not believe gas prices will go back up - they're wrong. These people still can't pay their bills, but they believe the economy is great - because the president says so. Seriously, get your head out of the sand.
The democratic party is famous for smoke and mirrors economics. They have been doing this for decades and they have always been lying to the citizens. As we learned from Obamacare, they rely on the "stupidity of the American people" to pass their ideas. It's time for everyone to take a smart pill, pick up a newspaper - real or virtual, and learn the truth. Do not rely on one paper, read a few. You may need to do some math and research back issues for a few years but it will be an education worthy of the time. It is time for Americans to learn just how fragile our economy really is.

United States, Inc.
The president has proposed his budget to congress. This $4 trillion budget proposes spending for free college, massive aid packages, immigration (amnesty) and myriad other presidential fantasies. Unfortunately, the president does not seem to understand that we are broke! We are bankrupt, destitute, insolvent, poor...tapped out!
The president is living a fantasy. He is behaving like a teen who has just been given his father's credit card, spending without restraint. If he were a buddy hanging with friends, spending his own money, he would be considered a great friend. This type of spending as the president of the United States is just irresponsible! Why do we allow this?
What if the United States were a corporation? Let's imagine Obama was the CEO of this corporation. Now, discounting everything else this CEO has done over the past 6 years and the fact that he would have already been ousted from any legitimate corporation, let's look at the current budget and how it would play out with the board of directors (Congress) and the shareholders (U.S. Citizens). Envision this scene starting with the CEO addressing the shareholders...
In the shareholders meeting, the CEO tells the shareholders, "The corporation is improving. Though we have had several bad years because of the last CEO, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We are making money despite what the P&L tells us and our company is solvent, despite what you may read on the balance sheet. With this in mind, I want to spend $4 trillion in the upcoming year. We will give away hundreds of millions to people who do not use our product (illegal immigrants), but steal it. By giving them this free money, I believe they will stop stealing our product and start buying it. Also, for those who are stealing our product, I want to stop prosecuting them. We must be compassionate - if they want the product without paying for it, we will let them continue stealing it, and yes, we will give them extra money on top of what they steal. By doing this, we will become a better corporation and we will make more money. If you don't agree with me, you are a racist. If you do not want to be called a racist, just agree with me."
CEO Obama now addresses the board of directors..."I have proposed giving away the corporations money and product to those who have been stealing it. I expect you to approve. The cost of this program will be $4 trillion, even though other experts estimate the true cost, somewhere in excess of $6 trillion. I know the corporation only has revenues of $1 trillion, but by moving some things around, we can spend the $4 trillion and still make money. Now, you don't have to believe me, but I expect you to approve my budget. If you do not approve of my budget, you are a racist who hates our customers, even though they do not buy our product. Because you are racists and hate our non-customer, customers, if you do not approve of my budget, I will do what I want, whether you like it or not."
As ridiculous as this is, it is essentially what is happening in our government today. Now, let's look at how this would proceed in the real world...
As CEO Obama presents his tale to the shareholders, the shareholders who are not selling off their stock, are voting for his removal. Others are filing a class action against the company for defrauding the shareholders - and they will win. Unfortunately, they will only recover pennies on the lost dollars.
At the same time, the board of directors is taking action to remove CEO Obama for his incompetence. Obama will probably also face charges for fraud - spending corporation dollars for personal extravagances - vacations in Hawaii, expensive clothing for his wife, and so on. Obama may also be charged with extortion - forcing the corporation to pay or face being accused of racism. Finally, if CEO Obama has been managing for the past 6 years, the board of directors would be faced with the reality of the corporations financials, forcing it to call for the dissolution of the corporation and a bankruptcy filing. All remaining assets would be liquidated and the corporation would cease to exist - and CEO Obama would next be employed as a drive-thru worker at a fast food restaurant.

Uncle Sam, ISIS Wants You...DEAD!!!
Two very significant statements were made by two completely different people. In the first case, rep Molly White of Texas, called on Texas Muslims, on "Muslim Capitol Day", to embrace America, our culture and our laws - and denounce Islamic terrorism. (https://news.yahoo.com/molly-white-texas-muslim-capitol-day-facebook-islamaphobia-191253151.html) On the other side of the world, ISIS vowed to make the United States an Islamic nation. One statement was splattered across every news wire, the other was not. Care to guess which one was? Within these two ironic statements, we can see that how our media and citizens reacted to the first statement can bring believabiilty to the second statement.
I read and reread the statement by the Texas representative several times. I tried to imagine how this statement could possibly be misunderstood. Every time I read it however, it sounded the same - denounce terrorism, embrace freedom - appreciate the beauty that is the United States of America. Sadly, our media and some of our citizens have re-framed this congresswoman's statement to be anti-Muslim, non-Christian, hate mongering, divisive and racist.
The idea that our media is in the pocket of ISIS is not surprising. They want to believe that if they are nice to these animals, they will win their favor, get the edge on an exclusive and perhaps, keep their heads when they are captured. Similarly, some of our citizens believe that if they "show love" to these evil creatures, they will convince them to embrace the love and change their way of thinking. At worst, maybe they too will keep their heads. Idiots!!! These people vote, drive, breed. More specifically, they vote for promises of free government handouts without consequences - government somehow creates money from air. These are the people that stop in the left lane to cross over three lanes of traffic because they don't want to miss their exit. These are the people who think they can get pregnant from a toilet seat. These are the people for whom abortion should be legal - specifically, to wipe out their blood line.
ISIS made a statement that they will take over the United States, not because they employ the worlds leading psychics, but because they watch CNN. They can see how their presence in the middle east has led to the spread of fear across Europe. Both, Great Britain and France have allowed for the spread of sharia law in their nations. Whether to be inclusive or to avoid being seen as racist, Europe has allowed for the release of this menace and it will not be easy to maintain, or should I say, regain control. In much the same way, we are facing the same threat. It isn't that ISIS is such a powerful group or that they are just too big to control. It is because we will hand our nation over to these savages. It is because some people defend their brutal actions. People make excuses for their behavior - it's because we are killing their children, or because our troops or bombs are destroying their flower gardens. Those who excuse their behavior say, "you would want to kill them too if they were killing innocent American's". Well Sparky, they are killing innocent Americans...and Europeans and now, Asians.
Whether you agree with the actions the west has taken in the middle east, genocide was never our end game. The death of all Christians and Jews is their end game. To be more specific, the death of anyone who does not proclaim Islam as their faith and Mohammed as their prophet, is marked for DEATH! That includes atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, witches, tree huggers, you get the picture. This means that most of the critics of representative White are also targets of ISIS. Yes, no matter how much you lick their sandals, unless you declare your allegiance to Islam and their caricature false prophet, Mohammed, you will die. If you are a woman, even if you accept Mohammed, to them you are less than human. Yep, in Islam, ERA=DEAD! If you rise up, you are quickly knocked down!
It is time for America to wake up. What representative White said, was not hateful, bigoted, divisive or racist. What she said, few are brave enough to say anymore. Representative White offered a dose of reality. Unfortunately, we have spent the past 30 years protecting our children from reality and now these children are adults that cannot distinguish reality from make-believe. They think the threats by ISIS are a make-believe. They think the severed heads are make-believe. When ISIS is marching down our streets, they will think it is make-believe. When their fellow citizens are slaughtered in the homes, they will think it is make-believe. I am sure representative White wishes it were make-believe, but she knows the threat is real and it is not racist, but brave of her to say it.
I read and reread the statement by the Texas representative several times. I tried to imagine how this statement could possibly be misunderstood. He Is Awesome! My Testimony...
GOD is real! GOD is awesome! I know this to be true because my faith tells me so. For those who do not believe, there are lessons to be learned.
The attack on faith, Christianity in particular, is increasing. The left in our nation, will stop at nothing to discount the existence of GOD. To further their cause, they drag every famous or nearly famous non-believer from under any rock, to speak against Christianity and religious faith. The latest being the founder of the Newsboys announcing he is now an atheist. His decision to abandon his faith is certainly his right, but his decision to insult and ridicule those who believe, was over the top.
The derogatory treatment of Christians by non-Christians or non-believers is not surprising, considering we have a President who is hostile toward Christians and Jews. His implicit support for any person or group who is also hostile toward Christians and Jews, only fuels the hate and will eventually lead to violence in our nation, against Christians and Jews.
For those who choose to not believe, it is your decision but I will continue to pray for you, which is my decision. My faith is not about having proof of the existence of GOD. Faith, by definition, is belief in something for which there is no proof. I am unceasingly faithful and have been my entire life. I don't need proof and never have. I have however, witnessed many miracles in my life which I like to share as I testify to the awesomeness of GOD. This post is my testimony.
When my life abruptly changed direction last September and I found myself no longer employed, I trusted in the Lord to walk with me and protect me from the adversity which could result from a sudden loss of income. Oh sure, there were moments when I worried, but they were only moments, which passed after I reminded myself that the Lord was with me. I spoke to him in prayer, and was confident that everything would be fine. Long ago I learned that his plan may not match my dreams. I understood that even if I ended up losing everything, I would be okay because GOD has a plan. This is faith! Short of normal human weaknesses, I remain faithful.
While in church on a recent Sunday morning, I prayed that I would have an interview during the upcoming week. I asked for guidance to help me in my search. I prayed for strength to help me understand his plan. I asked the Lord to help me endure - if his plan found me without a job for an extended amount of time. Then I asked for mercy - that he would take away my anxiety and my growing fear.
Almost immediately, I felt his divine presence and the anxiety lifted. Later the same week, I received the first interview call in almost one month. The call ended with the same "we'll let you know", that I had heard so many times over the past four months, yet I knew this would be my next job. The next day I was called by the same company for a face to face interview which I scheduled for the following week. This interview ended with a promise of a call "late next week" if I were going to be pushed through to the next step. Again, I knew this would be my next job and I knew I would receive the call sooner than late the following week. I received the call the following day with the job offer.
Those who choose not to believe will come up with their explanations for this chain of events, but I know the truth. I had spoken to more than 20 recruiters and had multiple interviews but it was not until this opportunity arose, that I felt divine intervention. This is not the only example of his awesomeness, but just one more example. The reason I chose to share this example is to illustrate the difference between those with faith and those without. After losing my job last September, I had every reason to worry - in-voluntariliy out of work, 52 years old, and so on. With everything working against me, I just did not worry. I had food, made my house payment and kept the lights and heat on, all without income, for four months. When I realized that I had not real job prospects doing what I was doing, I turned to God in prayer...and he answered.
You have a right to believe or not believe. As for me, I cannot imagine my life without Jesus as my Savior and Lord and I am ever thankful that I am important enough to him to be blessed with his love.

Point of No Return?
You know the feeling, - you turn on the Simpson's and find it does not make you laugh anymore or you find that you get bored in the first few minutes of American Idol. In television, this phenomenon is labeled, "Jumping the Shark". We can all remember back to the episode or season when our favorite shows jumped the shark - Two and a Half Men, Happy Days, Friends, Glee...etc. The point at which a television show jumps the shark is when we know it is only a matter of time before the show is cancelled. Oh sure, the writers make changes, add new characters or a little skin in a desperate attempt to save the show, but it rarely works.
In every other aspect of our lives we experience this same phenomenon, but now it is called the "point of no return". I thought about this early this morning while playing Monopoly online against a computer. In a game of computer Monopoly, there is a point when I know the outcome - whether I will win or lose. It is usually when I or the computer has several thousand dollars in the bank and a few monopolies, built out with houses and hotels. At the same time, the other player is mortgaging properties to pay the rent. Until we reach this place, we will fight with all our heart - saving each penny to avoid bankruptcy, relent in every argument to avoid divorce, flailing in the undertow to avoid drowning. This is the point in an event, from which we know it will only go downhill, we cannot be saved so we give up.
Unfortunately, the point of no return does not apply only to television or Monopoly. It also applies to much greater, even global, events. Following this mornings game of Monopoly, which I won; and after reading today's job postings, I turned to the news. I read a few stories in today's news and started to wonder if our world has jumped the shark? I wondered if our very existence is reaching the point of no return? With global aggressions reaching an all-time high in our world - I wonder if we are at that point?
To put it into perspective, just over the past 24 hours...the government of Yemen has fallen to a coupe and is now under the control of Iranian backed radicals - enemies of the U.S. The long-time ruler and King of Saudi Arabia has died. Coincidence? Stay tuned! Adding to the chaos is ISIS, spreading their brutality throughout the middle east, seemingly immune to everything our military is throwing at them. Iran, while now measuring for curtains in the palaces of Yemen, is working feverishly to take control over increasingly weakened parts of the middle east. This can only mean terrible things for Israel; who is being snubbed by our anti-Israeli President. If this were not enough, France has reported more terrorist related activity in the first 23 days of 2015, than in all of 2014; the Vatican is preparing for possible terrorist attacks and McDonald's posted yet another bad month. It is bad news on steroids.
With all of these stories over the past 24 hours and a news ticker becoming more active by the minute, we must ask if we have reached the point of no return? I am not alone in my concern as the Doomsday Clock has just been moved ahead by two minutes, bringing it closer to midnight than it has been in 30 years. Though I give little credence to the Doomsday Clock, I believe it reflects the hopeless thinking of many people around the world. Again, the chaos around the world is escalating by the minute, but have we reached the point of no return? Is it time to step back and spend more time with our families in anticipation of the coming apocalypse? I am not so sure. Then again, I am also not psychic, but can only speak to what I can see and add a casual, if only semi-intelligent, opinion.
The global threat is very real! It is however, fueled with the support of our President who has deliberately backed a radical, psychotic and inhumane group of incorrigible Islamic extremists. This group of street punks have stated their intent to kill all Christians and Jews. Though it is good to hear that they have goals, the rule of thumb in goal setting is to make goals which are attainable. At the kill rate of 12 or so per month, in a world of 2 billion Christians, they may want to review their goals. Also, with an estimated ISIS membership somewhere south of 25,000, going up against more than 2 billion people is, well, stupid.
Now, even if we give ISIS credibility in their quest to take over the middle east, they are going to find themselves up against another group of savages who are a bit more organized. Iran has it's heart set on becoming the next ruler of the middle east, and yes, this is a problem for both, Iran and ISIS.. While it is possible that they will get together in a combined effort to kill all Christians and Jews, it is more likely that like a bacterium in a petri dish, they will eventually kill each other off.
Iran is, by far, the nation to watch in this fight. Their danger to the world knows no bounds. With the support of Obama, Iran has been allowed to increase their strength and their global influence. Until Obama is removed from office and terrorists are again recognized as terrorists, the danger will spread. If, for example, the Iranian threat to Israel's existence becomes imminent, we can be fairly certain that Israel will be forced into a nuclear response, potentially setting the wheels in motion for global destruction. ISIS on the other hand, is not as much of a threat. I liken this group to a bunch of adolescent punks with keys to their wealthy parent's car. Growing up, these snot nosed kids were given too many toys and not enough discipline or love. This also explains how they respond to the parents of their victims, pleading for the lives of their children. A little tough love and a few thousand, well armed U.S. Marines on the ground will put an end to ISIS. After a few of them watch the skin of their friends melt off their face in a real military confrontation, they will run with their loaded underwear, back to mommy and daddy.
Some would say that China, Russia and North Korea are equally threatening to the world. In some ways, I agree that Russia and China are a threat, but unlike the "Islamic State", China and Russia tend to be a little more civilized. Both nations are comprised of advanced civilizations with indoor plumbing, at least in their largest cities. Compare this to a civilization with the intelligence of a horny poodle. After all, who else would be willing to kill, based on the promise of sex with virgins in the after-life. Whether 7, 70, 700 or 7 million, anyone who believes that killing people in exchange for sex is a rational belief, is off-the-charts, perverted.. But these are the same people who kill over a cartoon of a false prophet. As a Christian, I would not kill over an ignorant cartoon of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. As I see it, if he is offended, he has much more powerful and effective methods of handling his enemies than I.
A true indication of the quality of people who make up today's Islamic state, consider that most recruits consist of liberal, spoiled, unloved, American or European (primarily French) children, taught to feel guilty for being white; and hardened criminals in our nations prisons. What more needs to be said?
The world is in a very precarious place and the danger is real, but our civilization has not yet jumped the shark. Despite having a President whose actions are akin to a computer virus, doing it's damage in the background; I believe we can survive. When it is all over, the world will be a much different place, but our civilization and McDonald's, will survive and we will all be stronger from the experience.

A Pig is a Pig, Lipstick and ALL!
Tonight the President will speak to the nation. Contrary to State of the Union addresses of Ronald Reagan, few will watch tonight and most will base their opinions on the news bites posted on Yahoo tomorrow. For those watching and those not watching, here are a few crib notes to help you translate the lies you will be fed.
So whether you watch tonight or read the slanted snippets on the internet tomorrow, just remember the adage, "you can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig!"
- The number of U.S. citizens living in poverty, rose to a 50 year high during Obama's reign, according to the Washington Times.
- The number of wealthy citizens has also increased, but not by the same jaw-dropping numbers.
- Approximately 50 million, or 1 in 6 of our citizens is living in poverty. More citizens are living on welfare and/or collecting food stamps than at any time in our history, with the numbers nearly doubling since Obama was first sworn in..
- According to the bureau of labor statistics, the labor participation rate has fallen to the lowest level since the Carter administration, with approximately 1 in 3 of your fellow citizens or over 96 million of us, no longer in the workforce. When you hear this clown take credit for an unemployment rate of 5.6%, just remember that the long term unemployed, or anyone no longer receiving unemployment benefits; are no longer counted. Using simple math, 96 million/320 million is about 30%. If this is not scarey enough, the 96 million represents working aged citizens, while the 320 million represents ALL citizens, including anyone under age16 and the retired. With this in mind, 30% is a conservative estimate.
- Adding to our debt with hocus pocus programs, will only be a continuation of the failed strategy that has put us in the mess we are in today.
- Speaking of debt, the national debt of the past 43 U.S. Presidents combined, is $9.7 TRILLION. Yet, from January 2008 through January 2014, the debt has nearly doubled to $18.1 TRILLION!!! This adds up to about $185,000.00 per U.S. citizen. Compare this to George W. Bush, who took the White House with a national debt nearing $6 Trillion and left 8 years later with an 50+% increase in the national debt, to about $9.7 Trillion. Obama called Bush, "unpatriotic" for increasing the debt by this amount. Democrats called for Bush to be charged with treason over his debt increase.
So whether you watch tonight or read the slanted snippets on the internet tomorrow, just remember the adage, "you can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig!"
